How can I help?
There are MANY ways to help! First and foremost, your donations… We need to raise an estimated $300,000 to build this wonderful playground for our children. Thankfully there are many different ways to donate. You can click on the link provided at the bar up top which will connect you to our main donation site, on which you can use PayPal. You can also purchase one of our many items available; like our bricks or pavers. When purchasing these items, you leave your own special footprint in the playground. You can have them engraved with anything from your name or a special message for all to read. Both businesses and private donors alike can sponsor playground equipment for the park. By purchasing a piece of equipment you will be leaving a message of support to the community that we deserve safe and inclusive equipment for all of our children. Another way to help is to volunteer. Warwick Playground Dreams is going to need many volunteers throughout the process ranging from helping us at events to constructing the playground. By going to Our Signup Genuis OR clicking the link above, you will find many ways to be hands on.
What will the money go towards? How is your Playground Committee different than the renovations that are currently being done to Stanley Deming Park?
Stanley Deming will be receiving many wonderful changes in the future. Warwick Playground Dreams will be funding the new playground equipment. The current equipment on the existing playground was gifted to the Village thanks to the fundraising efforts of another Warwick mother 20 years ago. Most of the playground equipment there will be 20 years old next year and is, unfortunately, showing great wear and tear. Aside from ramps on the large playground structure, there is no ADA-accessible equipment on the playground. We will provide this new equipment to give children of all capacities the ability to enjoy outdoor play. In addition, we hope to be able to add a splash pad for children to enjoy in the summer. The playground will be meant for kids of all age from infancy to high school.
What is the project timeline?
Although there are a few variables, we plan to break ground on the playground in Spring of 2019!!
